The stage manager is the point of reference for speakers, giving them instructions on positioning, entrances, exits, timing, and even posture advice. They are responsible for ensuring that speakers are comfortable and give their best presentation.

Coordination of the technical team

The technical director manages the event from the technical control room and is responsible for giving instructions to ensure the running order is followed. She makes decisions should any issues arise that need to be resolved live.
